Special Event Grants
Hayward offers grants to organizers of local community events that enrich the City’s cultural, social and economic vitality. Our grants support nonprofit organizations in planning engaging events that attract visitors, involve residents and contribute to our City's vibrancy. Apply today to bring your event vision to life!
Special Events
Special Events include any event or activity taking place on or in public spaces such as a City facility, a City street or sidewalk, alley or public-right-of-way. These events are free of charge, open to the public and presented for the primary purpose of providing community entertainment, promoting awareness of community issues and supporting economic vitality and quality of life. Examples include but are not limited to parades, street parties and music festivals.
