No-Cost Residential Chipping and Assistance Programs are back

In its ongoing effort to reduce wildfire risk in high-hazard areas, the Hayward Fire Department is accepting applications through Oct. 1 for its Fall Chipping program. Fall chipping is being scheduled between the weeks of Sept. 1 and Nov. 13 or until funds are depleted.
