Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) — mission is to strengthen cooperation and collaboration across local governments to build healthier, stronger communities ABAG is part regional planning agency and part local government service provider. We accomplish our goals by providing planning services and cost-effective ABAG member services to local governments struggling with rising costs and diminishing incomes.

AVA Community Energy Joint Powers Authority (ACE JPA) — Ava is a public agency based in Oakland with a staff of about 70, governed by a Board of local elected officials and advised by a Community Advisory Committee. ACE JPA sets rates and determines the mix of power sources.

Ava Community Agency Key Documents

East Bay Dischargers Joint Powers Authority (EBDA) — From East Bay homes and businesses, sewage flows to our Member Agencies’ wastewater treatment plants. Following treatment, EBDA pumps the clean water from the plants to a dechlorination facility, where chlorine is removed prior to discharge. The water then flows through a seven-mile outfall into the deepest part of San Francisco Bay.
